I feel guilty as I have been very lax updating my blog. I have been very busy making Christmas cards. I already run a weekly card class and have now joined an art class. Here are a few examples of my new cards. The star angel is my latest painting scanned and shrunk. (It looks better shrunk!) I thought I could combine my art and card making together.

I am so excited and thrilled to win the 'design a stamp competition' for Craft Stamper Magazine. The magazine is out on Friday 7th August. I'm so big headed I can't get through the front door and my friends and family are totally fed up of my bragging.

Here is a card using the little house and tree stamp designed by me!!

I've had this stamp for ages it's one of my all time favourites. I've used mica powders over versa mark ink. Unfortunately, my photo skills let the card down. The colours are much richer than shown here. I have used 'accent beads' to highlight flowers.

Bellow is a simple wedding card using a Graphicus stamp I bought in their sale. The backing paper is from a Graphicus CD.

I've not been very productive of late but thought I,d better make something light and pretty. I made these using my new peg stamps. I've also been playing with the new Joanna Sheene CD which is beautiful.

Fathers Day

As it will soon be fathers day I thought I would put these cards onto my blog. I must admit I would rather make pretty cards. So I'm off to make some wedding cards now, always a favourite with me.

We had a lovely Bank Holiday, we went to the Flower Show in Tavistock. Clive spent the next day in the garden while I made cards. Perfect!

I went for more of a retro theme this time, something new for me. I tend to like rich colour and brocades. I have had the stamps for some time, they are from Stamping-up. I attended one of their parties and must say that although expensive they are super quality and I loved their inks too.

This is the first time I have blogged and I admit I am finding it difficult to find something to say. Ironic as I never stop talking. Most of my family work in the media. My mother writes, my brother owns and edits a couple of magazines and my daughter is a newspaper journalist. I must have missed this gene!
A friend once told me that everyone has a gift, mine was that I could make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Useful, but not very glamorous.

I hope you like my cards...
